Bio - Curriculum Vitae

Born in 1985 I spent my childhood playing in a courtyard in the outskirts of Rome and cultivating a strange attractation towards maths. It is in 1998 when my weird attraction with maths gets dispossessed by a new growing interest, one towards visual language and communication.
That year I began writing graffiti and that passion became stronger and more long-lived than the previous one, driving me to observe different forms of applied arts and leading me to study design. It is during University that my interest in graffiti starts making room for different kinds of experimentation. In 2008, after completing my BA and gathering some work experience in both design and photography, bored and disappointed with Italy I decided to move to the United Kingdom to undertake an MA in Graphic Design at the London College of Communication, having finished in December 2009.
Citing a Nick Bell article from Eye Magazine (N.53 - 2004), I would like to position myself among the ones he defines as “champions of diversity”, therefore working outside the “steamroller of branding”, making things instead of selling things. This doesn’t mean that I am not aware of the commercial aspect of graphic design, I am conscious that this discipline is firstly addressed to be a problem solving activity but I believe that different approaches exist.
My working ethics is based on the power of culture, methodology and passion.
